Seared/Post Seared

Just wondering....after you go over the north wall, can you come back, or do you just go to seared ascalon ? This story is confusing, and i just got the game.

The North wall has nothing to do with moving on from Pre-seared Ascalon. It's just another quest. The Path to Glory (Join the Academy) quest you can get from Sir Tydus is the way to move forward.

O, I see, i just got worried, i hadnt finished exploring the map, yet the game was getting boring, and whenver i talked to Sir Tydus about going over the wall, there was that lecture about never coming back and such, so thanks for clearing things up. I'm guessing the academy comes after the wall?

There isn't really any order for the quests. There are for missions, but the quests are just little tangents that you can go on. Quests don't affect the storyline, so they have no order.
