A PvE character with the same equipment and level as a PvP character is just as powerful as that PvP character. Whoever told you that info was wrong, unless he was comparing a level 1 PvE to a level 20 PvP.

unless you have the best stuff ever then pvp char is better, pvp char is a lot more customisable too.

Just leave 1 spot free and whenever you pvp use a pvp char

If you are a PvE warrior, you will not have Superior Absorbsion and Superior Vigour (not talking to uber-l33ts), you will often not be using a customised max-bonus weapon. You only need to Unlock superipr vigour once, and ALL your PvP characters will have +50 health. Have you unlocked all 200 attribute points?

Basically, if you have only one PvE character that you spend all your time and money on, sure, use them for PvP, otherwise just quickly make up a PvP only character.

pvp doesnt have better items or armor, it's just easier & quicker to get it in pvp (with faction points), it will take much longer in PvE before you have all the max items, armor and runes, because in PvE you need to find the right material, collect enough gold etc...

Greens are sometimes nice but only usefull for specific builds. By the way you can only get greens in PvE, you can't unlock them in PvP.

read the FAQ's or search the forum about best items,
for example for a fire staff it would mean 10 energy/11-22 damage/20-20 on recharge and casting speed + whatever max modifications you make on your staff.

a good guide to PvE items and collectors can be found on www.guildwiki.org
