Problem With Soul Reaping??

I think theres a problem with Soul Reaping. The decription Reads "For each point of Soul Reaping you gain 1 Energy whenever a creature near you dies." Well I have been watching my Necro and when one of my minnions die i get a +2 in purple over my head (Soul Reaping) but when i kill something i dont get energy. I thought it was any creature unless im reading it wrong, am I?

Thats strange because Soul Reaping should be giving you energy when ANY creature dies near you, be it friend or foe.

Have you kept an eye on your energy counter? Maybe your getting the energy but not noticing the +2 with all else thats going on at the time? I know when I'm playing my Necros it can be hard to sometimes see the +energy from SR.. but I know I'm getting the energy as my energy goes up..

BTW I believe the creature has to be in your aggro circle for Soul Reaping to activate.. thus if you say stick Life Syphon on it and then it leaves your aggro circle you won't get any energy.. (but don't quote me on this..)

+e seems to only display for minion deaths. I give you the mishkin guarantee that you are getting the energy from enemy deaths too. You'll notice it more when you get 10+ soul reaping, trust me.

ok i hope it was just my eyes playing games with me because i looked at my emergy bar to see if it was going up but i did not see anything. Im going to go put some more points into it and see what happens

I found your problem, you need to be looking at your energy bar not your emergy bar

Increase you soul reaping, as one energy is hard to see if you have any pips of regen, i found it hard to tell when my monk has Balthazar's Spirit on and the only way i know that i am getting energy is the aura animation when i take damage.

when ur minions die dont u get some energy ne ways??? atm i got my soul reaping at 9 it helps lot and errm uh i got that one skill forgot what its called where it increase my energy regen rate heh cuz me im pretty new to this game.

Yes, you do get it for everything dying. It just doesn't show. It's just one of those strange things that doesn't seem to work right.

I'm pretty sure soul reaping is radar range now... all of the traitorous SOBs in my guild running IWAY for fame tell me when they play the order necro they still get energy when they hide all the way in the back.
