This build works well in random and team, havent tried it in tombs. Works well
Enter the:
Moggravator! (Monk aggravator)
Mo/Me

Contemplation of Purity
Reversal of Fortune
Holy Veil
Migraine
Conjure Phantasm
Distortion
Drain Enchantment
Inspired Hex

Insightful staff of enchanting
Tatoo chest, leg
Judge hand, feet
Sup vigor (if possible), minor divine, minor protection (negligible)

Can't think of the point allotment off the top of my head, but about:
8+1+1 divine favor (this can be toned down, but helps with contemp and with self healing from casting many spells)
10 illusion (Or 11?)
10 inspiration

Your job is threefold:
1) Be a monk. This seems weird, but who do you think is instantly targeted by the major hexes (life transfer, backfire, and spiteful come to mind, not to mention other migraines/conundrums). So this portion of your build is to make sure the enemy wastes their mana and lose their first cast. How do you do this? Use the holy veil trick, contemplation + rof, and inspired hex (you get instant 1 hex loss, healing, and energy management). You also may draw the attention of warriors (this is a nuisance) and of rangers (bit more of a nuisance), hence you pack distortion to deal with this. WATCH OUT for KD warriors, they're the worst.
2) Stop a caster. Best if you stop a monk or a hexer. Leave the eles for after. Use migraine + phantasm for 8 pip degen and then drain their enchant to get all your mana back. I usually run right up front in battle and start casting this while maintaining distortion and keeping my mouse button over holy veil's ending icon. Funniest fight? Go up against a migraine illusionist mesmer and listen to him start bitching when his migraine poofs and hes running around dying from a taste of his own medicine. Don't forget to wand the casters. THey can take up to 35 dmg per hit, and on top of degen, this is incredible (who needs illusionary weaponry :P)
3) Remove a warrior from the game. This is optional, but you wouldnt believe how many times it has worked. The warrior latches on to you and decides he wont stop pummeling you. The answer: distortion and run. Best if you cast your migraine and phantasm on an enemy caster first so you can add a bit of help for your teammates. While running, maintain distortion, stop occasionally to refresh phantasm on the pesky warrior. Problem: irresistible blow is a pain in the ass.

This build is unorthodox, but its good at what it does. It has survivability, decent damage/cast stopping output, and you help your team with rof, inspired, and drain enchant. Feel free to swap out migraine for ineptitude if thats your piece of cake, but i say focus on the softy casters.

Must say I've never seen anything like that. Call me skeptic (sp?), but I think I would have to see this in action to believe it. Just something about the skill choices that makes me disbelieve that you don't run into energy problems.

Pick something and stick to it. A build that is sub par in three areas isn't going to be better than a build that excels at a single purpose.

lol, if you tell me how to make a video, ill try (dunno what prog to use)

but about the subpar in 3 areas, its nothing that a normal monk wouldnt do (the running part, and im better at it then most monks)
as for caster stopping, i dont need to babysit the caster with spell interrupts (it is becoming more of a problem with hex removal, but that affects everyone and phantasm is a decent cover skill).
I might not be the best at everything, but i come pretty close...
You're not the best runner cuz your skillbar isnt devoted. In fact, it just happens that distortion is an awesome running skill when you're generally using it for toughing it out during the initial casting.
You're not the best caster stopper, but you can beat any 1 to 2 mesmer or necro hexers (destroying their efforts). And trust me, they will go for you.

I tried this build out for a few rounds. It works pretty good when you're paired up with a couple of rangers. Not so great when the opponents don't hex or inflict conditions much, or if your teammates can't take advantage of migraine. It's a good idea to replace one of these skills with a res signet, as this is a self-defense build and your other party members tend to die before you do.

i cant see this working in tombs as and half decent caller could see after 5 seconds ur not a real monk thus not worth targeting, interesting idea but i dont think its suited for 8v8 battles

yea, i realized it doesnt really work in 8v8, but o well. I think an ineptitude/crippling anguish build could seriously hamper iway though :P

ur build is mostly to annnoy ppl on first apperance. i dont think this will work against a good TA group, Guild group, or Tombz group. i can see this in CA though.
i like this build cause u screw them up for thinking ur a healer/prot or basically just a monk. and ur build is mostly a supporter but u also heal with ur div favor.
