if i update a sell post, does the 24 hours wait time for bumping reset? or still the original hour time?

No, bump time is 24 hours. That would be a loophole.

The theory behind it is "bumping" aka the manner in which way to push your topic back into view. As editing a post is not bumping, it does not count towards this rule. It would be downright silly to have a restriction on how many times you can edit your thread.
All we don't want is one guy post spamming one thread so it stays at the top.
