did they reduce the effectiveness of that,too?

I think they nerfed the rune drops to a certain extent but not as much as other spots

the more you do one spot the less drops you will get.

if you do ettins 10 times a day you will get less loot.

Havn't they nerfed drops even though. I know fatigue plays a big factor but I still seem to get way less golds then I used to farming popular spots.

anet claims to adjust them accordingly with how popular it is. ettins were the last stop for rune farming after all the popular places were nerfed.

good thing i farmed it to death 3 months ago before anyone found out about it.

best farming is to go to places most other's do not go. even if you have to make a team to do with the drops are worth it for runes. only reason to farm for runes is to unlock it. other than that the gold isn't much.

Noone has "Nerfed" any type of "Farming" just the ability to which you are able to do so. The AOE update just made AI run from AOE's. It's still highly possible to farm anywhere, just get a new build that doesn't rely on AOE's and take it smoother.

You don't use AoE to Ettin-hunt (well I suppose you could, but it'd be rather unpractical). Anet did nerf the drops - runes drop much less frequently now. It's been reported by countless people, and I'm pretty sure Anet reported it somewhere.

Luckily, I got my Sup. Absorb before it happened. However, my freind reported that she'd gotten a Sup Vigor and 2 Sup Monk runes only a day or two after the nerf.

I have to ask though, why is it everytime the player figures out someway to farm solo well, they find a way to nerf it? Isn't this game not about the level grind and more about having FUN?

People talk about ebayers, buyers and sellers, but, isn't that money already in the economy anyway? It would be no different than me handing over the kewl million I have to a friend of mine, cept I don't charge him. Whoevers selling has put the time into the game to aquire that plat that they are selling it's not like they are minting it at the factory. lol

Personally I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for "game money", that really is taking away the fun of "earning" it the good ole fashioned way. WORKing for it. There's nothing really to do post 20 anyway if you're not into PVP but farm, so, I don't see why more people don't just get out there and farm and Anet open farming back up to what it was awhile back FUN. It's FUN to find several gold items. So, put the FUN back into the game.

I would have to say that the drops were nerfed slightly..... I can still find superior runes, I have found 2 sup monk, 1 sup necro, ranger, mesmer, and 2 sup Ele runes in about 5 runs.......I have yet to get a BIG drop since the nerf but I was able to pull out a Sup Vigor and Absorb right before the update.
