Another Noob Question

I never did the intial quest after the searing and now can't find the squire to start. The green locator icon keeps moving all over the place...to top that off I can't find how to get to the North Wall portion for the quest (Defend Northern Wall Quest). Can somebody please tell me where to go to find the Squire or where exactly the NOrthern portion of the wall is to defend and which city to start in to get there the fastest. I spent 5 hours walking around yesterday and never got there! Thx everyone.

The squire? Do you mean Warmaster Tydus? If you're at the armor crafter, take a right up those stairs. Tydus is behind the statue... hold alt to find him. You get another quest from him which entails having Alesia the Healer Henchmen join your party. She is to the right of the stairs leading out of Ascalon.

hold alt in ascalon. click on the yellow name that says "The Great Northern Wall". The wall is up the stairs and to the right.

Is that where I have to defend the wall...I have gone out through there and can't find where to go ouside ascalon from there...I was thinking I need to go where you use the catapults to kill the group of charrs but can't find my way there anymore. The quest I'm referring to is the primary quest -Protect Northern Wall- I was supposed to contact Squire _____ outside Ashlon but did and probably forgot to follow him so now I'm stuck. BooHoo.

In the Great Northern Wall "outpost", form your party of people, henchies or solo and click on the "enter mission" button in your Party dialog. This is how you start a mission, as opposed to a quest where you leave a town and enter the wilderness.
