Hello. I have looked throught the Ranger thread facts and I have seen many builds. Unfortunately, I didn't see clearly a consensus about what Im looking for. Right now I am a Ranger/Monk and Id like to change my second profession to Elementalist. My intention is to have a build that is really good for PVE, that will deal alot of damage fast.
What is the best ranger/elementalist build to achieve that? Could anyone list attributes/skills/equipment? Im sure many rangers fans would appreciate it!

If Poison Arrow hits, your target becomes poisoned for 5-17 seconds.
Savage Shot - Bow Attack – 10- ½ -5

Troll Unguent - Skill - 5-3-10
For 10 seconds, you gain health regeneration +3-9.
Whirling Defense - Stance - 10-0-60
For 8-18 seconds, you have a 75% chance to "Block" attacks. Whenever you block an attack this way, adjacent foes take 5-10 piercing damage.
Resurrection Signet - Signet -3
Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. You may use this skill only once per mission.
Druids Armor and Fiery Bows
Needs fiery bow strings to trigger the damage from Conjure Flame. With Conjure‘s 60 second duration you can get +13 damage from Conjure, +20 from Kindle and damage from the attack used. Pick any 2 attack skills that are available or best suited for the mission.
Or use Barrage, which eliminates preps, and an interrupt. Bring another fire spell to use.

Dean: I'd drop fire a lot, and raise expertise to at least 13. Then use an elite that does something useful.

My R/E main uses the folllowing when I just want to go through the southern Shiverpeaks killing stuff. It's not a "solo" build because it relies on having a tank really and a monk, but I enjoy playing it with my wife's warrior tanking for me.
Collector's Ascalon Bow (Short Bow version from the Desert)
15-22 Damage
+15% Damage when health above 50%
+20% Damage (Customized)
with:
Fiery bow string
Defense grip +5 Armor
Druid's Armor with Marksmans' Mask + Superior Marksmanship Rune
Major vigor
All other runes are minor
Attributes:
11 Marksmanship + 1 Hat + 3 Rune
10 Expertise + 1 Rune
10 Fire Magic
Skills:
Barrage {Elite}
Savage Shot
Concussion Shot
Whirling Defense
Throw Dirt
Conjure Flame
Favorable Winds
Rez Signet
Basically, you can fire Barrage every attack with its recharge of 1 second. With Favorable Winds you get +6 damage, with Conjure Flame on and the fiery bowstring activating it you gain another +10 or so, and Barrage adds another +16 or so, and hits every enemy in the area (which is why tanking makes it so much easier). In the shiverpeaks, especially against ice golems, it's an easy 70+ damage with every shot every 2 seconds or so.
If things go badly, you can use Throw Dirt and then Whirling Defense to run away. Use Concussion Shot on mage bosses, and use Savage Shot to keep Health skills out (Troll Unguent, Healing Signet, etc.)

I had a good time with Spike Trap (Elite) and Aftershock with my R/E.

Oooh, that's a good idea. Use Spike Trap to get the knockdown (along with all your other traps), and then hit with Aftershock for double-damage. I haven't thought of that for my solo-farming build. Plus using Earth Magic you can get Armor of Earth to help out with tanking...I've got to try that.
