I wish they'd release actual content instead of completely pointless stuff like the haloween update which adds no value to the overall game. Imagine all the time programmers and designers could have spent on quest/missions/PvP.

If they do give out anything, it needs to be like the halloween items. Easy to acquire, and the wearable stuff (think pumpkin mask for halloween, now santa hat maybe for christmas) make it customized for the player only. No need to turn those items into expensive rares, as im sure some people would LOVE to see. I also hope that next year they repeat the same items, and add some. One to keep the content new, and another for the last year items to still be available.

I have a few programs that automate some things for me, of course, but I still have to tweak quite a bit by hand. I think the post-Sear one took me maybe 6 hours total, which gave me a false sense of how easy it was until I did pre-Sear next and took a week to tweak it. I'm sure it'd go quicker if I had something better than a 1Ghz PC.
Anyway, back on-topic.
I've been doing it anyway, but I may step up the freebie rare give-aways this month. So until ANet announces something, that's something I've got planned. Maybe I'll run around and sing carols, too.
