Weapon Attack Speeds

I was just thinking about this while I was playing. I liked how D2 had weapons that could attack at diffrent speeds. A mix of faster speeds would be a nice thouch .

yeah. i was wondering how the axe has the same speed as the sword, and how the staffs and wands have the same. Also, for those who wanted dual wield, maybe daggers ? with low attack power, but high attack speed ?
