More Ding for GW?

"A sad fact about you player, as a whole: you only do what you are rewarded for. You will do something less fun if you see a carrot at the end of the stick, and you will ignore something more fun if it doesn't give you a "ding" or an XP reward or a title."

One of a nice quote I found from the Greatest Quotes thread.
On that note, beside gold and xp and rares, what other dings or carrorts would people want in GW? Ideas Ideas.

how about a nifty piece of clothing to wear in town?
say a vest (dyeable) for a very hard quest
how about at the end of a series of quests someone would turn that ruby/saphire in your backpack into a ring or pendent?

I like that quote. I think there's a lot of truth to it.
I got a giddy little pleasure back in the earlier stages of the game when I did quests and got rewarded skills for it. That's the sort of thing I'd like to see. I hope in chapter 2, most or even all of their new skills will be aquired through quests.
Or how about weapon upgrades? A sword hilt for your warrior. A bow string for your ranger. Perhaps weapon upgrades that you can't even get through common drops. Like a bow string of haste, where you have a 10% chance to fire your arrow twice as fast.

I think some elite skills should be acquired through very difficult side quests/missions.

It kills me that I actually put time into my ranger and have nothing to visibly show for it when there're people who have never played the storyline getting renown just because they have rank. I mean...even armor sets. I can't afford to buy anything higher than Forge yet any PvPer can have my set on a character the moment she is created-how about differentiating (visually) between PvP and PvE armour...Make it all look the same...muahaha...make it all look like the very beginning set
I'm ranting-I'll stop.

Way back when I played Asheron's Call they had this hard island called Aerlinthe. You had to travel all the way around this sucker to get these t-shirts you could wear that said either "My patron went to Aerlinthe, and all I got was this lousy shirt" or "My Monarch went to Aerlinthe, and all I got was this lousy shirt". They were very cliche, but very hilarious. Everyone wanted one because in the beginning it took the most powerful (and fastest) to actually make it around the island because it was so hard.
All right, so I'm only reminiscing here but it was cool.

Emotes from exp, hmm could be nice for pve-ers, i say this as a pvp player who has completed pve more than a few times.. how about taking exp out of the tomb of kings so exp emotes would be mroe pve based..?
One pvp idea which really needs sorting is something to do with your faction after you've unlocked everything!

I like the clothing idea... just more clothing/armour options would be great. I was thinking basically the same effects but a different appearance - so us vain folks can have the scantily clad warrior who still has decent protection. Mmk, I just hate how some of the more effective armours look.

i want a special hat for completely clearing fow or uw. it should say "i <3 fow" and "i <3 uw" on it and be customized.

How about being able to get something to decorate the guild hall with?
Hey, when guild halls get storage, I'm starting a Guild of one and having a private mansion!
