Yesterday, i was farming with few pug and for the first time in my day of playing GW. I never seen so many green drops. The first run through Final Assault we got 3 greens. My second run with Orozar we got 3 greens again? Well i was in the group i asked some of them how the heck we get so many greens? One guy point out that US currently has favor therefore we get more drops given to us.
I was wondering.... is there any correlation with having favor to getting better drops?

I don't know unless i was just lucky yesterday but i never seen 6 greens in one day. Even if US has favor or not!

I have heard people claim that the drop rate is better if you have favor but as yet haven't seen any verification. It always seems lousy for me.

I'm going to say no barring any evidence besides anecdotal. What about all those times you went green farming and got nothing while US had favor?

yeah i got that alot (no greens while we have favor).. But yesterday was insane. 6 in whole day trip (only spent 2 hours for greens)

I've been playing GW almost everyday since release... The drop rate has progressively gotten worse with the various enhancement. I pity those that have to struggle now to enter the game. The road was paved in gold (items!) before!

I have had days where we got 6 greens in one run, often 3 or 4. (Once, I got 3 greens in one run - Fleshweaver staff, Grognars sword and a offhand item I forgot the name...)And that was at times when we did not have the favor! It seems to me that the droprate was reduced with the big update last month......

for some reason i noticed that with Fissure of Woe si that if America has favor while inside fissure, the drop rates seem to go up. ive been in fissure when we lost favor and the drops slacked dramatically.
also for some weird reason, the closer u go into fissure after winnign favor, ive noticed better drop rates too. last night for example, we went to fissure and basically cleared every quest and got a total of like 4 shards each on that run alone. went in later as we were losing favor and 1 shard dropped the whole time inside fissure. /dunno

with favor,it does affect the drop rate,me and my friend tested this myth,and its true,we did seperate things at once,and switched,i did the griffon run(when it wasnt nerfed)while he did uw,then we switched i got 5 ectos in 1 run in my uw he got 3 ectos in his,i got a 10/10 +30 15% over 50 req 8 fiery dragon sword,he got the same sword as me,but req 10 and it was a flamberge...and we tried this in the morning,when europe always has favor,and all i got was gold drops,got around 1,000 then i just quit,he tried it,he kept playing till he got 5,000,still no drop...the griffon run,we got a blue =/and a yellow dye,but no difference,i think this tests the drops,we did this for over a week,so i think it makes a difference

It's really hard to notice a difference between times with and without Favor. You'd have to have many people testing at the same time to get meaningful results.

yeah,i know,i just gave it to a guildie,cause he had a w/e with conjure fire,but yeah,something went wrong with the sword,i once tried to put a 10/10 on a fiery dragon sword(nub days! <3)and it didnt work,so i was really suprised that it was glitched,or i dont know,most of my guild called me a hacker,ahha,but i really have no clue how that happened,i think he sold it,for like a mil+ he gave me like 10k,so i didnt care,ive loved the griffon run since then,even with the nerfing

I was told this happened myself, although I really put no credit behind it. I think people are just superstitious. I mean; personally whenever we don't have favor I PVE with the same results as I do when favored. Same drops. Same everything. So If the drops "got better" with favor, I'd assume I'd get more/better drops too.
First off, you have to have favor anyways to get into FoW, even if the favor ends while IN FoW, I still didn't see any better/more drops or anything out of the ordinary.
If people really feel favor effects, I might need to bust out spreadsheet and go hunting on times we do/don't have favor and you can see for yourself ^_^
