GWG policy regarding linking to other websites?

Is there a general policy on GuildWarsGuru that linking to other fansites on the forums is forbidden or being frowned upon?

I'm asking because I find that very often the best way to answer questions in the Q&A forum is simply to post a link to the related article on GuildWiki.

I hope GWG don't see GuildWiki as "competition", considering GuildWiki is - like all wikis - a non-commercial website that is 100% run by the community for the community.
