The truth about interrupting

I've been playing this game since it came out, and I still have no clue as to how the game determines if a skill gets interrupted. For example, Ranger traps say they are easily interrupted. Is this saying that any attack will interrupt it? I ask this because it seems to me that any skill that causes interruption (Disrupting chop, etc.) will cause the appropiate interrupt regardless of how "easy" it is; and I have not noticed any increase in my interruption rate while Dazed.

As far as I know "easily interrupted" means that any attack that hits you will interrupt you, this is for both Dazed and trapping rangers.

(Warriors Cunning against those nasty rangers ftw!!)

you are just confused on what easily interrupted means...

easily interrupted - no skill is needed to interrupt yours, only an attack from a bow/sword/wand, etc..

I've noticed that while laying traps "easily interrupted" means you can occasionally finish setting a trap while being attacked, but mostly a regular attack will interrupt you...only once in a while do I pull off a trap-lay when something hits me.

Any skill that is listed as easily interrupted will be interrupted if any attack hits you before that skill completes and you don't have anything to negate the interruption such as mantra of resolve (for mesmers). Spells do not count as attacks in this case so unless the spell has a knockdown or other form of interrupt component, they will not interrupt the easily interrupted skill.
