Newbie question about Necro minions

Does increasing Death Magic increase their lifespan? If not, is there a way? If so, how much? Their short life is always annoying.

Yes. Increasing death magic increases their level, which in turn increases their hitpoints, which gives them longer to contend with their constant HP degeneration. (incidentally, does anyone know how many pips of degen they have?)
