That texture concept seems to be used often...the kind of texture in my avvie is made by KPT tools in photoshop.

the texture is a combination, of brushes, layers and lighting done in Photoshop

I would have a bigger more clearer version of my avatar if sigs were allowed. I would consider posting mine at the bottom of each of my posts but its too much of a bother and would probably piss off the admin/mods.

For the majority, it'd be good to have sigs to represent our chars, etc - however, since, as I said earlier, this forum has a significant amount of artistic people than most, it'd be a lot heavier on bandwidth and loading than it would on other forums.

Ty, snapp. For ages I've wondered why that style is so common. Here's a revised version using it and a pixel border. I'll keep tinkering with custom brushes and lighting - this is just a complilation of default brushes and opacity layers.
