enchantmen/hex countdown timer

It's annoying not knowing how much time left I have on my enchantments, especially the long lasting ones. So basically why not have a countdown timer on the enchantment/hex in the status bar? Like the cooldown timers on the skillbar.

That works out pretty well and doesn't add any clutter to the interface. And it's intuitive to boot. I like this idea. It'd be nice to know whether it's better cure the condition/hex or simply wait it out.

I don't think you should know how long enemy hexes/cconditions will last, I'm not even sure whether ally ebchants should show with a timer, but self enchants should do; because you know anyway - its just an interface change. Then again, players of Quake etc have learned how to count to 30 for health/bonus respawns. Naybe Anet expects us to do this for ourselves too.

Meh, I don't really see the harm in it.

Guess I'm gonna get by behind kicked for this post... :-D

If you have that information in the interface it would indeed be easier to know when you should cast you next spell/hex/enchantment but isn't this the charm with it?
I mean not knowing exact how long you have left on you hexes etc. but having to guess or count that all by yourself.

My point is that the more information you have in the interface the less of your own skills you'll have to use while casting.

It starts to flash when it's about to end, and that works well enough for me.

If it's not flashing, it'll stay for a while, meaning it should be removed (if it's a condition or hex), or is going to stay there for at least a few more seconds (if it's an enchant)...

I don't see any use for a timer, to be honest, intuition also works fine, looking at some extra numbers would be quite distracting.

If you can't recognize an enchantment/hex and when it's about to go bye bye, you shouldn't be playing anything more than low end pve / ab.

/signed and I'll go one step further....Programmable UI's ala EQ2. Can't tell you how much fun I've had modding my UI in EQ2. Timers on status changes, making the life bars bigger or smaller, including more information in the Inventory screen, etc. All in good fun and, since it is Client side anyway, it won't require that much tweaking on the server side.

Yes but if you don't know how long your enchantments last and can't be bothered to hover your mouse over its skill icon then tbh you don't need something like this.

Atm I wouldn't mind something like this for enchants you cast on allies - sitting counting to 16 for my PS to run out is just ridiculous - I sure get some weird looks if people walk in while I'm playing. :P

(This is easy enough on anything with a timer such as HA, but in general PvE you have no timer. Perhaps an option to have a counter which you could reset at will with another option in the display properties?)
