WTF Is a Plasma Blade?

My friend was strolling in Lion's Arch one day and saw an advertisment for a plasma blade. Upon further inquery, it turned out that the icon for the sword was just a comon forked sword. Is there anything special about these plasma blades? Do they look diff when equipped?

Lol. theres not ''plasma blade'' in this game. it is a forked sword.

yes but the name of the item was plasma blade. Why would they rename an item for no apparent reason?

No im pretty sure its not a collector item. It was only 10-14 damage and had no mods or bonuses.
