OK everyone by now knows of the Cantha, and Cantha even has it's own shield which is a preorder item only. But what about the Ithas Bow (Preorder Item Only), could this item be linked to a distant land as well?

a land of cantha and ithas would be weird because all of the current areas seem to take up the entire planet

I can see cantha being east of a large mountain range that's east of ascalon.

There isn't any question as to where Cantha is anymore: numerous clues have been dropped via the lore and the NPCs in-game (Jiaju Tai in LA particularly). Cantha is on a new continent south of our current world map.

Yep. Its pretty obvious to me. After all, your Guild Hall is one of Cantha's islands (so why would somewhere east of Ascalon have an island so far away?), Jianju Tai basically SAYS it is south of our map, and there are even more clues in the lore. Of course, there are always other possibilities but that is the most likely location of Cantha.

Yup. You used to be able to do it at Granite Citadel. Visiting the edge of the world used to be a favorite passtime of mine.

Really, yeah, Tyria is a continent, not the whole world. There's plenty of options for making a true 'world map'. What we have now is just a continent map.

if you hover your mouse over beetleton in the map, it tells you about the outpost, as it does with all the outposts. it talks about towers build to defend against some mysterious threat or w.e to the north past the huge lake, that'd be my guess as to a new area.
