Ranger energy denial... would it work?
inspiration, running large amounts of the "loses 10 energy" unlinked bow attack, powered by energy drain. ether feast for hp... throw in read the wind, rez sig, and drain enchant, and you have a good build with only 6 skills.
Any comments/suggestions/ideas for the last 2 skills?
ranger e denial?

Any comments/suggestions/ideas for the last 2 skills? I ran something like that but later changed. My R/N version:
Debilitating Shot
Savage Shot
Distracting Shot
Oath Shot
Plague Touch
Whirling Defense
Vampiric Touch
Res Sig
9 Blood
16 Expertise
10 Marksmanship
This is for small arena. Run your series on target, Oath Shot, repeat. I use Vamp Touch since it can kill someone, unlike Troll Ungent. Also it ignores defensive stances should that come up at least I can carry on damage. Plague Touch is invaluable if you don't have a dedicated condition remover.

Sounds like you're on you way to what the people over at GWO call the "Mursaat Tower" build. Concept is rather simple. Using Oath shot to recharge your energy denial spells.

11 + 4 Expertise (seriously don't go much lower, you need it)
10 Domination
10 + 1 Marksmanship
Debilitating Shot
Distracting Shot
Mantra of Signets
Signet of Weariness
Lightning Reflexes
Serpent's Quickness
Oath Shot
Rez (in GvG, can instead use Drain Enchantment, you won't gain energy from it but it's a 'free' enchantment stripping. Can also use Leech Signet to interrupt and gain back energy without energy cost if your team has enough enchantment control, can lower expertise by 1 to get 5 in inspiration since you gain a little energy it covers for the expertise loss)
You absolutely need a zealous short bow if you want to have the energy necessary to maintain the cycle indefinitely (with it i don't lose energy/cycle, my energy is pretty much always maintained and i can keep the cycle going non-stop).
The idea, which is the same for all my Serpent's-Oath builds, is to have a short cycle that you repeat constantly. The cycle goes like this (the order is important, since both Mantra of Signets and Lightning Reflexes are stances they cancel each other if you don't use them properly):
Mantra of Signet-Weariness-Lightning Reflexes-Debilitating-Weariness-Debilitating-Serpent's-Oath. Distracting when needed.
You should try as much as possible to wait 3 seconds between each energy drain skill. This is to insure your target never gets to 5 energy to use, well, anything. Your damage is nothing special, but you're still constantly hitting with a bow in Lightning Reflexes.

nice. Confused a bit by the oath. 20s.. and debil is 10... that means that you're not getting any more debil shots off than you would be. Weariness and mantra of signets may need to be recharged, but i'm not a fan of mantra of signets. 15e. blech.
But thank you for posting. I'll try it out tonight.

But thank you for posting. I'll try it out tonight. Every 20 seconds you double your Debil Shot output. Oath shot also recharges all other skills.

14 Expertise
12 Wilderness Survival
11 Marksmanship
1. Apply Poison/Kindle Arrows
2. Serpent's Quickness
3. Echo {E}
4. Debilitating Shot
5. Distracting Shot
6. Pin Down/damaging bow attack
7. Throw Dirt
8. Res Sig
That's how I roll ranger e-denial. Start Serpent's, throw up Apply Poison/Kindle Arrows, Echo, then start the Debilitating Shot fun. Serpent's brings down the recharge on both your Debilitating and the Echo'd version, giving you 2 Debilitating's with 6-7 second recharge on each. You can use Debilitating nearly every shot this way. The rest of the build is personal preference for the most part. I prefer to leave the damage to the other party members when I'm running this build, and enhance my energy denial ability - throw in Distracting to interrupt the skills they do manage to use, and use Pin Down to keep them in place so that I can keep the Debilitating stream up.

i tried a build like this except no pin down but etheral burden mostly cause i hate runner bastards and secondly they usually use skills that dodge arrows so a hex was in a call for. i took whirling instead of throw dirt. i prefer it cause it is mostly when warriors come at u in different times. if i fight 1 warrior then throw dirt would do it. but if one come i do throw dirt and then 2 more come im kinda screwed.
Also sometimes if u fight a signet build it is better to echo distract shot. that way all his skills will be rendless.
