I'm not plugging the store, but Best Buy has Guild Wars on sale this week (December 4-10) for $29.99. Same price online. May be a good time to pick up a second copy or for a gift. Best price I've seen on the game.

If you buy a second copy how does it work? Do all eight slots share the same storage? Do you have to run seperate installs? Do all eight show up on the opening screen? I like the idea but would like to be able to pass cash and weapons down to my other players like I do now. If they are two sets of four that are independent of each other that would suck.

Currently they are two sets of 4. It is a pain to transfer things from one to the other, and they don't share unlocks.

It won't be that big of a deal, because:
1) the second account will just be mules, I wont be playing them until A-net solves the storage issue.
2) the second acount will be on my laptop, so I can run both at the same time.
My plan is my second account will have one always in pre, 3 mules, and my first account will have a shuttle to go between pre and post.
I'm a pack rat, I have a guy that just has my weapon upgrades, clean max damage items, and vigor runes. My storage is filles with a few odds and end and crafting items.

2) the second acount will be on my laptop, so I can run both at the same time.

I use them all the time, for instance I forund a really nice max damage axe, my warrior is in kryta and will fight a lot of fire imps, I put on a icy and warding mod and now those fire imps better beware, their health just melts away when hit with an icy damage item. My monk has no armor, so I put on the staff a + 5 armor. Some times I sell them or give them away.

Im still unlear how this 2 account thing is supposed to work. Say i want to add a key to my existing account. Will i be able to switch back between accounts if i wish to play one or the other? or do i need 2 computers?
Hopefully i wont have to run multiple desktops and install/run 2 instances of the game at once

same works if you happen to find a collector version still on sale, the only thing it would do is give you the divine aura on your current account but will not create any new slots for characters.
for 2 accounts you will need to have (2) seperate email addresses and switch between them, or run a dual instance of gw on the same machine, that's what I do, it can be a hastle, but sure easier than having to bug trusted friends to hold items for you so you can switch.

so when i want to play my original account i type in
username1 password 1
if I want to play my second account i type in
username2 password2
(no those aren't my login
)One install. One instance. But if you want to mule you need a friend or you need two instances/two computers. I'm ok, my bf has GW too so I just steal his computer and log in on that with one of my accounts
