Why does my game lag so much!!!

I have an ATI Radeon 7500 on a laptop, and i have 3mbps Bellsouth DSL internet. I experience choppy internet when im in battles in PVP only mode. Also, when in in RP mode, its not as bad, yet even just walking is laggy. I bought it 2 hrs ago and i like the game, but it would be awesome if i could play it without lag. Any ideas?

how much memory do you have? on-line games play better with more ram. I had lag in WoW until i went from 512 to 1024.

i got 512 mb ram, 2.8 ghz p4, 30 gb hd

Could this be part of your problem? As far as I'm aware, no developer/publisher of an MMO ever supports running their games on a laptop.
