Summary: to start things off, this is a interupting build more over than damage itself. you start off by picking out the caster or player you want to interupt, choose your target wisely. use spinal shivers with parasidic bond as a cover. once you get close enough to your target, engage with warriors endurance on. every single swing will interupt your target untill you either run out of energy or the spinal shivers is removed. but since your yeilding a zealous sword hilt and gaining +4 energy every time you land a swing energy should not be a problem here. just make sure to keep your spinal shivers updated and covered. this class is best used against elementalists and other slower casters rather than trying to tackle a prot monk or a fast casting mesmer.
Notes & Concerns: [this build requires a good deal of practice to get use to the energy management aspect. it can very fun or very discouraging for you, depends on your playing style. most ppl look at a warrior and think he should be dealing more damage than this build here, but i like to think of this build par to a mesmer migraine build that actually does some damage. when target has less than 50% health, final thrust is a heavy hitting skill and is rarely used in pvp these days.]
Credit:* [i give credit to arenanet themselfs, i saw a build they posted similar to this, but they used victory is mine instead of warriors endurnace for energy management. just a tweak here and there and this is what i came up with.

very nice, though if the enemy used signet of humility that would suck.

this build works better as a ranger with marksman's wager, you dont need to be melee and strifing wont be so annoying
but if you are bent on being melee, you might seek alternatives to sever and gash, even if you dont seek to do alot of damage, you need to do enough damage at least enough to take your target out of the fight, like hamstring and galrath

I use a build very similar to this, and it really interupts well. I would add another skill for interupting that makes you attack faster when you are not in warriors endurance. That way, you can interupt more efficiently against quick casting (mend ailment, etc). (giving credit to those people who helped me out with my build a page earlier)

doesn's spinal shivers @ rank 11 just barely hit the 6 energy per interupt level?
if you get back 3 per hit on warriors endurance, plus 1 with zealous, you're still losing 2 energy per swing and you need to recast your warriors since it's only 22 seconds duration and 30 recast.
if you start with a typical ~25 energy, after casting shivers and endurance you have 10 energy left with only 1 regen. within 7 strikes (including regen) you're out of energy and cannot recast warriors endurance.
am i missing something here?

^ yes.
The strikes you dont interupt a spell wont make you lose energy, thus your gaining back energy. Energy is rarely a problem in this build. This build is indeed best suited to take down domination mesmers and mesmers with long spells that intrude spellcasting, such as migraine and arcane conundrom.

ah, interesting tidbit. i thought the skill description said it interupts actions though, not just spells -- meaning that it would interupt skills and regular attacks as well.
(to the game, an interupt is a ~0.1 second knockdown not affected by stoneskin so interupting a regular attack would just stop a swing of the weapon)
now it makes more sense !
i might try it on my Warrior Necro along with Dwarven Battle Stance for lots of interrupt fun! only problem is D.B.S. is hammer only, and that attacks S-L-O-W so i might need to switch weapons =/

yes yes i play one of these builds in pvp ... one thing i can see wrong with yours ...your using a zealous hilt so you wont be interupting at all...you have to be hitting with cold dmg ..my advice get yourself an icy sword hilt !
jesh
Hah, I can't belive you're the first once to notice that. Honestly, I didn't either.
Vexed Arcanist
It works best with an N/W actually.

damn --- you dudes just stole my idea.
I'm lvl 15 w/n in pve and have just recently gotten an icy sword.
was just browsing the necro skill list a couple nights ago when I thought of this.
I think it would be cool in pve melee coupled w/bonetti's.
I knew I should have patented it.
