switching professions

Is it possible to switch secondary professions? I'm an E/R and wish I would have choses E/M or even E/N. If possible do you have to buy the skills from the skill trader? Last question, are all characters maxed out as L20? Thx.

Yes, they're maxed level wise at 20.
You can indeed switch, once you reach teh Crystal Desert, you can choose to do "The Warriors Path, Way of the Monk" etc etc. You can swap as many times as you like once the quests are done. You can get skills by going back and getting the quests (at least I believe you can) or once you reach Ember Light Camp, all non-elite skills are on sale (though this can get expensive)

There are profession specific quests that you can go back and do from Ascalon, Sardalac, Piken and Yaks. That will get you some of the skills without having to pay for them and use skill points.
