Can someone give me a link to a specific necro spell/skill that would make it where when I attacked I would gain a percentage of health of what damage I did or something like that.

Elite Skills are....Elite

and that means out of your 8 skills you chose on your skill bar, you can only have ONE Elite skill.

Ah, so only one elite at a time, thanks.

When you go into an instanced area you are allowed to take 8 skills with you. But only 1 of those 8 may be an Elite skill. Other than the limit on the number of Elite skills you can take there is really nothing else special about, though they generally are better than the normal skill(s) with similiar descriptions.

Edit: I type to slow.

Alright, im gonna go out on a limb here, and guess there isnt any skills of what im looking for exactly, but is there a weapon part, (like hilt, i cant remember what its called) that adds health stealing?

You seem to be looking for a life leeching skill like on Diablo II, but I don't think there is any skill or enchantment that allows you to steal/gain x% of health/energy for every hit.

i have seen a modifier that gives you health per hit at the expense of a regen arrow, however i do not believe it counts as "stolen." i am unsure as to whether these mods still exist..

On another completely unrelated note...Im just gonna put another question here instead of crowding up the board with another topic. Can you design your charactors appearence or is it set? I dont mean like choosing hair color and 1 outta 3 hair lengths or something. I mean does it have the option of choosing exactly how long and exactly what color you want it to be? Same with facial features so you can customize the whole person to look almost EXACTLY as you wan it too?

EDIT: Sorry, posted before I saw your answer, thx for the info bgnome.

Oh, and one more thing. What exactly is a signet? Is it just like a spell in the fact that you put it on the skill bar and it counts as one of the 8 skills? I think I understand just need confirmation.

this is the extent of visual customization that you get at character creation from what i recall:

sex: m/f
hairstyle: depends on the profession, but there are half a dozen or so
face: also depends on the profession and you are limited to a set number of choices
height: there is a slider that scales your character a little bit -- does not affect body "build"

a signet is a type of skill, not a spell. they cost 0 energy. they are not treated as spells, and are not usually affected by interrupt skills (i believe). there are a handful of skills out there that affect signet skills specifically. the reason why they are called signets is due to the idea that each skill is supposed to represent a "ring" on your finger..

Does that mean you have to have a ring to use it?

Really? Hope they make it more in-depth for more individuality then. Can you change the way your charactor looks after you've created it, or are you stuck with that look once you click proceed or whatever.

I have also seen weapons with modifiers saying you gain hp per hit, at the cost of an energy pip. Pretty good to use and find of course have an alternate weapon so you can regain energy as well, or when your health is full.

your skills represent rings that you have. profession specific skill rings that require a charm is a rare drop in the game. you can get charms that represent skills and attach them permanently to the ring, letting you learn the skill. once you know the skill, the only thing you need to use it is to equip it into one of the 8 slots on your skill bar.

after character creation, you still have weapon/armor/dyes to choose from for customization.

i believe that the health ones require a health pip and the energy ones require an energy pip. this is why people used to complain that they would accidently die while they had a -regen weapon equipped and weren't doing anything..
