Is it just me or does this not work as advirtised, because I keep getting owned by desecrate enchantment and other spells, when I have this activated.

Strange, I haven't used Obsidian Flesh much... but maybe you were getting owned by signets (or other kind of skills, like touch ones) or someone used Chilblains close to you?

I use Obsidion Flesh a ton and I've never had it removed.

Desecrate enchantments is aoe; it's possible someone near you got hit by it and you were caught in the aoe.

What Eonwe said; you can't be the target, but you can still be affected by spells that target others or don't specifically target you.

basically, you cannot be the target of direct fire, but there is always indirect fire

Like that one necromancer skill that has an AoE enchantment remover which can remove this spell if it was the most recent enchantment you casted.
