Customized Items?

If a customized item is engraved on an item, is it possible to wear on another character by trading it over? Will you recieve the stat bonuses?

Nope. Not a possibility at all (if you're referring to customizing a weapon). If you cutsomize a weapon it is thereafter meant only for you. You can trade it and they can salvage it but it can't be used on another character once you've had a Weapons NPC customize it for ya.
You'll receive that stat bonus if its salvaged out of the item.

Almost. Not necessarily, not a weapon. I have a bone idol (special pre ordered item)but it was meant for one of my other characters. When I created a new character, it appeared on that character and its customized only for that character. Is it possible to transfer that over and let him wear it? A bone idol is the 2nd hand shield for a necro if they use 1 hand wands.

Your special pre-ordered items should be in each of your 4 character's inventory slots as you create them. If one character can't use it then just toss it because it won't sell for anything. You should be able to switch (if needed) since they are all YOUR characters and any one of them should be able to use the item in question.

The thing was that when I registered the specialized key, it only appeared the 1 character I made. It didn't appear on the existing characters already. I should be able to switch and it relieves me of that threat that I'm afraid of. Thanks Bahala for your reassurance :]

Glad I could help. Just open a "storage account" in Seared and store your item in there and, once your other character opens an account as well, you should have access to that item.
If it has disappeared (which I think that bug has been worked out) just type / preorder item (without a space) and the devs should get another one to you right away.

Hey Bahala, I tried switching over the item once my character got to post-sear. It was no good :\
