i can think of a few pvp-builds that still use ele's tbh, and i don't get how they got less popular with the AoE update. I can still nuke for a lot of dmg without ever using an AoE spell, yes, it requires more than just arcane echo meteor shower meteor shower, but hey, no one said it would all be dead easy
I can use my ele quite well in FoW mind you,without even having any AoE spells.
I remember a few months back people were all about fire spells. But Earth and Air are massive damage dealers.
I can take out a Shadow Elementalist and Warrior in a few seconds with air and earth spells. You just need to know how to use them and which ones help each other.
Glimering Mark has saved the warriors and monks in my groups so many times even though they keep saying its useless.

and so what ? I'm using a pvp fire build, i often win hoh, and my guild uses a pvp fire elementalist in gvg and we are ranked around 50-100 th.
So there are some very effective pvp fire builds (and pve too, note that i am still farming with a fire ele and even with the AI update it still works), just don't play it using echo shower in the middle of the map and without glyph of energy ...

Uhm, it doesn't cause exhaustion. It only costs 5 energy and only takes 5 seconds to recharge, but it doesn't cause exhaustion.
