Higher Quality & Lag...

Hi, I've been playing this game near enough since it came out, and the game has ran fine with other programs open, full detail maxed out untill lately, the past month or so.

I've been playing Guild Wars with highest quality, detail, etc and it works fine, but if, however, I have websites open, in-game I'll lag and it'll freeze a bit for like a second and carry on, and also my scrolling on internet websites (I only on GWGuru, GWOnline and GuildWiki) will just lag and scroll more slower than normal.

Sometimes I'm ok if it's just GW and 1 webpage. I'm just thinking, do I need to upgrade anything? Or can I change some settings or boost something? Or do I need to buy new parts for my PC to stop this?

At the moment I have;

Processor:
AMD Athlon (tm) XP 2400+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0Ghz

RAM:
768MB RAM (256 + 512 MB Ram Sticks)

Graphics Card:
ATI Sapphire Radeon 9250 128MB-Bit DDR Memory

Need any other information, ask, really need it to stop lagging.

I guess you need to do a system clean up. At least do a disk defragmentation so see if it helps. Delete the programs you don't need any more.
