when you create a character you choose the primary profession at the creation screen. the way they have it now, while you're learning how to play the game, you then can choose your secondary. that character will always be the primary you set it, and the secondary you choose.

if you want to play a different primary/secondary then you just create a new character. current limit per account is 4 characters.

Im guessing no. From what I played, you get your 1 primary class, then have the ability to choose a second class.
If you want to play another class, you simply make a new character.

The beauty of the game is that, it is quite easy to make and level a character. There isnt a real big "grind" like other MMO's, except for item and skill hunting, which is still quite quick and straight forward.

The only unfortunate aspect is the current 4 character slot limit I am a little unhappy with that.

In the pre-searing (i.e. the tutorial Area) you actually can switch your secondary as long as you do not COMMIT to that secondary. This way you can try out all of the classes with a few of the basic skills. I had fun with that one on the last BWE, unfortunately you are very limited to what shills you get. Basically 3 all within 1 style (for e.g. if you want to be an elementalist they only give you Fire skills you are unable to choose water, earth or air). Once you commit to a Class there is no going back, you would have to create a new character
