I just bought the collector's edition game, and there is some kind of key that gives you acces to 8 new skills (1 elite, 7 normal). My character is only lvl 3 (mesmers ftw!), but does this give me an edge over other new players who haven't unlocked that skill yet? Do I get these skills at random? if not, can anyone tell me what skills they are?

It doesnt give you an advantage really. you get like 7 reg skills extra unlocked, 1 elite unlocked, and like 5 weapon upgrades unlocked. so no you dont get a huge advantage as being that they are onyl unlocked if you create a pvp character. they will not be available to your role playing character until you learn those skills, capture the elite skills, and find weapons that identify into the weapons upgrade unlocks.
