Best Profession

I have no idea what profession to go as, so i was wondering if anyone could help me pick a certain one (prim+sec).

In other MMORPG's, i always stuck to mages/ranger due to me not being able to PK very well because of lag (melee characters were hard to pk with because i had to chase the enemy, and he'd out run me because of lag), Even though im on 1.5m ADSL..

Anyway I read that many people in Australia (i live here) are getting barely any lag on US servers, so im thinking of going as a Warrior. But not sure about my secondary profession?

Main thing i'd like to do is deal great dmg, be decent pker, and look cool!

This is definitely a biased opinion (considering this is what I am) but I chose Warrior as my primary... just cuz I love to tank and be on the front line. My secondary is Elementalist. That way I can opt to do face-to-face melee damage or distant damage with my elementalist powers. Personally I love fire but everyone has their own thing.

Overall it depends on what you intend to do with your character and what you expect of him/her throughout gameplay.

It sounds like you love playing a warrior. Do it! Since you love playing magicians/rangers too then thats where the elementalist comes in handy. Other professions offer distance damage and DoT (Damage over Time) as well but thats just my own personal opinion being a War/Ele myself!

For tanking i love my Warrior/Monk, he's already level 20 by now but still sweeps the floor with monsters.
