with most of my chars i did it with pugs and it took less then an hour, even with crappy party members all my chars are really good so me and maybe 1 or 2 other non-newbs picked up the slack
but with my war i did it solo, i just ran the whole way there
i think the place most people get stuck at are the mass mobs of minotaurs and trees heading up the hill, and the MASS mob of eyes, ears, and whatever the names of the enemies right before galrath, but if you can sit back and pay attention you can see that the patrols of both groups leaves a HUGE hole where you and your party can sneak through unharmed, and galrath is a pushover, just interupt his healing signet and hes silly putty to be beating into the shape of a dead guy on lying on the ground

Hells Vengeance
I can solo this mission but I haven't charged anyone for it yet because they have been all guildies. Me I just use my running skills Sprint, "Charge!" etc. to get to him. Before you go up the hill I draw the Verata's servants to kill the bandits in the way, Galrath might join in but he runs back to his usual spot, but after the bandits have all been killed u draw Galrath back and run around for a bit (watch out for traps) Verata's servants will lock onto Galrath and Galrath will attack them. Then you leave them to get to know each other better and watch Galrath die.

I did this with henchies and found out the secret was just getting to galrath. It was very anti-climatic in a way becasue with 60 DP and a mesmer and necro henchies I killed him. Running was what helped me finish the mission.

lol.
sorry dude. i guess you traveld from lionsarch.
if you travel with 8 peeps from tempel of ages, its a piece of cake. since galrath sucks big time. every level 20 warrior can defeat him easily.
time is max 30 min from tempel of ages.

There, now we can stop posting how we can all do it faster than everyone else, and easier than everyone else, and get back to the spirit of the original post.

For me this quest has always taken some time, have never tried it with henchies. I really like this quest as it is one of those quests everybody gets a warm feeling inside after completing it.
Done it 3 times now and each time ended up making some good friends, last time a warrior even asked what we all we're doing and if we wanted to be run to Fisherman's and to the nearest mission after that, he even helped with that mission and when that was done he ran us all to droknar!!

I agree Effendi. Warm and fuzzy feelings definitely

If you're a warrior the quest can be done with hench in about 20 min. Start from ToA and sprint all the way to the zone where galrath is. From there on start fighting. Take a longbow with you so you can lure the enemygroups near galrath. You don't need to kill them all, just the ones on the route to galrath down the hill where he's standing. I was lvl 19 when I did it like this. I don't know if this method is possible with a low lvl warrior.

My friend was running me to desert. On his way he took a detour and solo'd galrath 0.o took him little over 25 minutes to run there from LA and kill him.
He was using a variant of the typical griffon farming build but mixed with running skills. (vigorous spirit, cyclone axe staple)
