Firey Dragon Sword Question

Hi,

Yesterday I got what I think to be a ridiculous blue drop. A Firey Dragon Sword. The mod was that the Firey Dragon Sword does fire damage...don't they automatically deal fire damage?

FDS's all come with the Fiery mod auto-installed in it. This mod is non-changable.

The Fiery mod means that instead of doing physical damage, the sword will do fire damage - it's what all the elemental hilts do.. they convert the weapons base damage from physical to the element they represent.. ie a Icy Axe Hilt will make an axe deal Cold damage rather than physical damage.

As for the FDS, as I said.. it comes with a Fiery Hilt already modded on it.. and this hilt can't be changed with another hilt.. and I believe the fiery hilt is non-salvagable as well (although I might be wrong about that...)

The hilt can be savaged. If you note, all FDS are at least blue and even after being identified will sometimes just simply show the gold piece value.

Yea - Dragon Swrods are the only weapons that can be Unid with no more mods on them than fiery.
