Energy penelty for using sec class???

ok, so I have a Me/Ele and i was messing around making a speed nuker and notice that my energy was screwed up and it looked like i had energy degen.

Is there a penelty for using your seconday class? Because when i use my pure healer monk It looks different

when i use Ele skills and ele weapons on my mes



as you can see when for the normal the inside box is blue, while when i use my mesmer its grey?

can someone clear that up for me plz, thx

That's exhaustion caused by meteor shower. -10 maximum energy per use of the skill. It gradually recovers over time.

Also notice in the 1st picture the 3 enchantments with the -1 degenerations. If you put those on and as long as you hold them each one will have -1 degen

first yes i konw that enchants cuz - regen, i just used that picture for an example from monk, but the other 2 from my mesmer, i use no enchants. Also i even get that energy slow down when I don't use metero shower.

Does firestorm cuz exhuastion too?

also whats the deal with the Dark blue iner bar?, sometimes its up soemtiems its down, and what does the grey mean?

Dark blue means your max energy at that moment. Gray means the energy you can't recharge due to exhaustion.

Light blue = current energy
Dark blue = (max energy - current energy), can be replenished with energy regaining skills.
Grey = nothing. It signifies that your max energy is cut down, and you can't replenish it till time passes.

Check every fire spell you use. Some say at the end "causes exhaustion." Those are the ones you need to worry about. (There are other elementalist skills outside the fire atrribute line that cause exhaustion as well)

Firestorm doesn't cause exhaustion.
