Hi.

I am looking for a super dmg dealing axe build for playing with a party. I have been messing around with a few ideas here or there but nothing has come to mind. I want to be able to head out with a team on a mission or something, and be able to ***sorta*** support my self but do massive amounts of dmg.

Any thing helps...

Thanks

It's all or nothing. If you're in PvE, don't worry too much about damage and focus on protection. Prot. Prayers are far more energy friendly to a warrior's meager e. pool/regen.

If all you want is damage, go smite and don't look back...

I agree - you either go full bore on protection or none at all.

Here's a quick axe build that can generate significant damage in PvE if you have adequate monk support

Eviscerate (E)
Executioner's Strike
Disrupting Chop
Cyclone Axe
Sprint (for running into the frey of battle)
Dolyak Signet
Healing Signet (for healing emergencies)
Strength of Honor

Basically, this anticipates you charging into groups of enemies to keep them aggro'd/off your casters. Use Cyclone Axe to cause area damage and to keep your two main attack skills charged with adrenaline. Disrupting Chop is for the occasional pesky healer/boss. Dolyak is to provide you extra armor AND knockdown protection.

If you don't have Eviscerate yet, replace it with Dismember. If you want more protection, replace Sprint with a stance (I recommend Shield Stance or Bonnetti's Defense).

If you want hp and you're not THAT interested in damage, then 10+1+1 Axe Mastery should work.

Check this:

10+1+1 Axe Mastery
7+1 Strength
9+1 Tactics
10 Protection Prayers

As you can see, these stats are about staying alive and less about spiking. Since Jetdoc gave you a high damage smite build, here's a nice prot build to keep you alive with a tiny bit of damage to compensate.

For balance, we'll need 3 attack skills, 3 defensive, and 2 support from your secondary class...

Cyclone Axe
Eviscerate {E}
Executioner's Strike - dmg 3
Watch Yourself!!
Bonetti's Defense
Dolyak Signet - defensive stacking 3
Protective Spirit
Rebirth - secondary support

With double digit protection prayers, your spirit will last for quite a while and Rebirth won't leave you with a giant downtime for your teammates at least. With 10 tactics, your 3 defense techniques can easily stack and overlap in duration if you don't miss [aka your monk keeps hex/condition off ya]. The BIG ONE is Cyclone Evis, Exe. Strike. Without 16 axe mastery, it's not the bomb anymore, but at 12 axe, it still is something to smash enemy faces into halves...

Check it out and see! ^_^

Any monk secondary should make room for a single res technique in PvE. If you're monk Primary, then it's iffy in my book. One res = one less heal to stop teammates from dying...

is there a build that can incorperate what you have put down, and 16 axe mastery?

....just wondering what the build would look like if it had 16 axe mastery and wasnt as self dependant

Here's my go, granted it's unorthodox, but it's what I use if I want nice damage without worrying on energy/mana/hp:

1> Cyclone Axe <---Builds Adren up for
2> Executioner's Strike or Eviscerate, I use Executioner's due to elite later on.
3> Disrupting Chop
4> The axe attack that can't be blocked/evaded <can't remember name>
5> Bonetti's Defense <---Energy Building Stance/blocks attacks..really nice
6> Shield Stance <---Makes you move slower, but you block attacks coming at you for 19ish seconds with 14 tactics, and can use skills/spells without breaking it
6> OR if you don't want two stances, Healing hands Elite, It's nice if you're being womped on to be healed for 20 each hit with 10 in healing prayers.
7> Judge's insight <---Must carry, as it adds holy and penatration damage
8> Balthazar's spirit: Yes, this is a continual enchanment, but with some attributes in Smiting for judges, on hit it grants you energy AND Adrenaline

Skill lines?
14ish, 11+Sup rune in tactics
10ish Healing if using healing hands, 10ish Smiting if going the other route
12ish in Axe mastery, +minor rune
Rest into strength for extra damage.

There's my go at it, works wonders too, at least for me ^_^
