I've noticed when browsing at the bottom of the page the "Related Threads" are displayed. However, some of those threads date back several months and information in them in some cases is irrelevant. Not to mention in the buy/sell areas where one can only assume that an item will no longer be available after it was posted months ago.
There also seems to be some more thread necromancy if you will, and prehaps this is part of the issue?

Ooh, ooh! What if people could post links to related threads in a separate part? Or at least I could edit the related threads box? I'd kill for that.

To be perfectly honest, I guess that you really can't do anything about it. Guess the only real thing that could be done would be to remove it entirely (sorry to whoever's idea it was to implement it) or limit how far back it goes. Then again, Savio seems to be pretty gungho about fixing it up.
At the very least in the Ventari's Sell section, related threads probably shouldn't go back furthur than a week. Except possibly for Price Checks, unless this is becoming too much to handle.

I am sure that was included to help out when looking for a thread already made. It will help guide people toward a thread instead of just starting a new one up.
I can see why Savio likes this feature...I do too.

Its actually vbulletin feature to link similar threads together, it just uses a simple search, could make it more specific, but limiting the date sort of kills the point of it which is to link to similar threads for similar information
Savio
I actually don't like the auto-similar thread function because 90% of the time the thread isn't related due to the inability of the OP to have a clear title/post ("Need help" is probably the most-used thread title ever), and the other 10% of the time it links to other threads asking the exact same thing, only 5 months old, and then someone feels the urge to bump all of them.
Case in point: Current threads linked to from this one...

'PvE vs. PvP!' 'Grind vs. your MOM!' threads, and You. Bad searches make me almost as sad as people who don't use search at all.
