I've been led to believe, under good advisement, that Ruby's tend to only drop in high level areas such as FoW and UW. Is this true? As I just got one in Ascalon...

Didn't you just prove this to be fallacy rather than fact yourself?

If you are looking for affirmation, I too have seen jewels drop outside Ascalon.

I didn't prove it to be fallacy; I said "that Ruby's tend to". Had I been asking asking if it's true that its impossible for them to drop elsewhere, then yes I would have proven fallacy....but the whole question would have then been paradoxical, as I'm asking if something is impossible that had just happened....blah semantics, don't be so attentive to a simple question Caleb :P

Oh noes! The level 3 ones are actually called Hulking Earth Elementals, so he must be making it up!

...

I've heard this a lot from new people in Q&A, and it's not like the remains -> ecto BS since it only happened to people "a long time ago," since it's generally new players, so I believe it.

I love the whole, "I heard x only drops in UW but one just dropped for me in Ascalon. Can this be true? I have to ask everybody else!"

Ahh it's so amusing.
