ele/N builds

i'm kinda a noob and need help with my build. any ideas for how to go pvp or pve farming with a ele/N?

rest in Energy Storage (+1)
Blinding Flash
Insidious Parasite
Rend Enchantments
Air Attunement
Mind Shock / Surge
Lightning Orb
Enervating Charge / strike
Res Sig
This is just off the top of my head though, with flash and insidious to take care of rangers and warriors, enough zaps to kill someone, and Rend for the absolute killing power it has against certain common builds in CA. In Tombs or 8v8, you'll want to coordinate skills with the rest of your team, to form a spike group, or might even switch to earth depending on their needs.
You could also just be annoying :

if i use minions, what shoud i use for pvp or pve?

e/n with spinal shivers and water magic. interupts with every spell u cast, which aint bad. make sure u have water trident in there and some slow spells and u cant really go wrong

I personally use a water e/n with maelstrom and Feast of Corruption as my Elite. Feast of corruption does shadow damage always and steals health if the enemys are hexed, so I just cast ice spikes or deep freeze and then FoC and watch them die.

i was kinda hoping for a build focusing on air or fire magic, since the damage for water isn't too good in some cases. i do like the spells deep freeze and ice spikes though

a nice basic e/n build for pve:
5 blood, 14 air, 8 water, 11 es. And this is missing the last 30 att points, so you can go higher. I really have to get around to doing those quests with my ele someday hehe

And there is room to add an elite, just take out one of the water skills. Or if you want health, replace a water skill with aura of restoration.
It's not the end all be all and it's not a solo farming build. It will work well with a team though and it also has room for change if you want to swap out some stuff.

in my opinion, lightning orb is kinda useless in pvp unless you're a spiker or on a spiker team, but everyting esle is great.

if you want to solo farm you really have do go earth so heres what i use:

7. Vampiric Gaze
8. {e}Offering of Blood/{e}Ether Renewal/{e}Obsidian Flesh
Summary:
This is a great build for taking down anything solo around the desert (cept for those annoying squid things). Pretty much you cast Kinetic Armor and then Armor of Earth to boost your defense. Afterwards you hit offering of blood/ ether renwal to charge you energy before you hit blood renewal. Then you charge in pacing your crystal waves and whirlwing/aftershock combo to maintain energy while recasting blood renewal when it recharges and offering of blood/ether renewal followed by a vampiric gaze to maintain energy/health. I have easily farmed 8 griffins+ 2 minotours with this build not to mention oodles of hydras. Only warnings make sure you have an enchanting mod otherwise kinetic armor drops to quickly for you to recharge it. Also when in a pug, if you have a battery necroe backing you up it is best to go with obsidian flesh for the extra armor/spell invulnerbility instead of energy.

if you're not a spiker, this is probably alone on your skill bar without AE or anything, ad the skill is kinda useless. in pvp if you're not a spiker you'll cast this and probably won't have anything else to damage with and will have spent 15 mana... so not really a good deal
