I dunno I don't see much in a R/E... I'm liking the idea of R/Me and R/N a lot, though.

The Fireslinger build is perfect for you.

Good luck.

QS+Conjure Flame+Kindle Arrows for R/E and dps. QS+Mark of Pain+w/e... for R/N AoE. I don't really care about R/Me... suppose you could use Fragility+Inc. arrows for spike damage, but it's very transient and hard to control.

If you want to be a team player, you really won't need any secondary, as you'll be hard pressed to maximize your helpfulness with primary skills.

R/E

My main R/E uses a Conjure Flame when he's not in the presence of Enchantment strippers in PvE. Otherwise, he relies purely on bow skills as a R/E. Usually I'll run a Barragebot/Interrupts/ThrowDirt/Defense stance build. I hit with the bow and can help the squishies out if something breaks away from the tanks.

Right now, I'm trying to solo some minotaurs/griffons outside of Augury (got bored of farming Grenth's/Sorrows). I found that I dropped all my bow skills to go trapping Wilderness Survival, and am using water skills (Frost Armor) to help with the tanking needed.

Personally, I think the main use of a Ranger Elementalist in a team-PvE build is heavy damage/interrupt. So get a good Vamp bow if you want and go with a Dual Shot, Kindle Arrows, Conjure Flame, Favorable Winds build and go to town.

That may land a ton of damage, but it's an awful lot of set-up prior to a battle. Don't know about you, but sitting around casting my damage buffs for eight seconds prior to firing my first shot would seem to really kill the almighty DPS for the battle. You can cut that down to three seconds by omitting the mostly useless Favorable Winds, methinks. If you have to have that extra six damage per arrow, have another Ranger bring the sucker and cast it while you're setting your Preps and Enchantments.

I say go earth, use Magnetic Aura/Ward Melee.. you have weak armor against Melee attacks, so this will help you evade melee attacks, i am gonna come up with a build for this so please be be looking around

Assuming PvE...

Air's good for single target attacks (but you have a bow, which is good for that already...) and blinding. If you get Glimmering Mark {elite}, that'd be a good choice.

Water probably for Blurred Vision. You don't really need Maelstrom since you interrupts.

Fire for AoE stuffs... A few nukes here and there can make a difference. Meteor Showers can turn the tide of a battle.

Earth... wards ftw, eruption ftw, obsidian flame vs big fat things that have too much armor...

I personally like the Glimmering Mark one the most.
