really? I thought ghostly staves were supposed to be some of the rarest in game?

Yes theyre rare but they aren't like Dwarven Axes where clean ones will go for 50k+

Your ghostly hasn't two inherent mods which shatters most of it's value. Add to that it's not max damage (Yes I know, who attacks with a caster?)

OK, so for future reference - what are the 'perfect' inherent mods for this staff so I know what to look out for next time?

Well perfect mods for staves are a 10/10 bonus on recharge and casting for all skills or a 20/20 for one single class of skills, then it's up to you to see what suits you better; if you use mainly one kind of magic than go for 20/20, be if you ever find a staff like that be prepared to spend some hundred plats on it^^... about upgrades i think +5 energy +30 hps and +20% longer enchs...
