That can't be right? RRP is more expensive than the RRP of normal Guild Wars?

Alex and Gaile have both stated that unless it is an official announcement on the official GW site it is simply another guess by the selling company.
why should Amazon of all game sellers have this exclusive scoop.
give me a break

Don't trust anyone except Arena Net.
PIKACHU!!!
Dralspire
Regardless of when it comes out, I think this is a great opportunity for me to pick up the chapter 1 collector edition via some sort of package deal (ok, you got me, I like the sparking hands).

Amazon cant sell anything but books and music, why would Amazon know when Guild Wars Chapter 2 is coming out before ArenaNet or NCSoft knows when its coming out?
Amazon also says:
Please note that release dates are subject to change.
Which means that the release date hasnt been released.

they don't when when its coming out. the release subject to change is their disclaimer so they are not liable.

Well, Im not saying I believe this, but that magazine that told us about the assassin was not announced official on Anet until a little bit afterward. So maybe it is the same for this.
Ruin
They put the last day of March simply because that's the latest it could come out and stick with the announced range of Q1 2006.

hah well in my experience, even if its officially announced on the website for the game, it can change, so don't believe an online seller. Or even a high street one for that matter. The company I work for does it, everywhere does. They'll put "Q1 2006". Then if it gets to Q1 and its nowhere near ready/they've heard nothing from the company, they'll change it to Q2 2006.
Anyone who has followed Black and White 2 should know better than to believe a release date that hasn't come straight from the companys mouth. The shop I worked for reckoned that game was coming out Feb 05 for ages. Actually it came out Oct 05. Amazon had it down as March 05. It was all just a load of guessing. Thing is, with a retailer, if you appear to have some kinda release date, you're more likely to get someone think "oooh I'll pre-order that then" and wham, you have a customer. Whereas if you say "no date announced yet" then that person will just think "meh i'll wait til I see it in the shops".
Exclusives regarding game content, yeah, that can happen as we saw with the assassin. Good game advertising and good for the mag/site that gets it coz they get extra customers/viewers from it. But there really is no point in having the release date as 'exclusive' content for one company. Not unless they don't want to sell the game anywhere else.

Alex and Anet have been posting first HALF 06 since GW came out
EDIT
EXAMPLES FROM GAILE AND ALEX
Quote:
Somebody says, "Is there anything new coming up in the future?" We say, "Well, yes, we're going to release Chapter 2 in the first half of 2006." |
Quote:
Expansion frequency has been announced as "one every 6-9 months" previously, however during E3 we've set the expected window of release for the next chapter as first half 2006. That's a lot less than your hypothesised 3 per year, and we've never made any comments towards three per year being possible. At most 2 per year. Each expansion will provide more content than typical for an expansion, as well ... that's why we call them Chapters, because each chapter we release will include approximately the same amount of new content as the original release. |

they are giving you the opportunity to pre-order it with them, who cares good for us and them. if your that nuts about it anyway..

the prices are as good/better than gamestop etc
TB_
Its also listed on Play.com, and once again for same price as C1, so it better bloody be a guess because there is no way people will pay the same again for an expantion.

Why protest calling the site wrong? Does no one bother reading how they specifically say that it's only available for preorder, and all dates are subject to change? >.> Obviously, Anet has given some ballpark date to suppliers no matter how close it actually is to true release.

from the official site
Quote:
How much does Guild Wars cost? How much will additional chapters cost? Guild Wars is priced at a comparable cost to other first-tier PC games. The subsequent chapters of Guild Wars will be comparably priced in relation to other games. |
IT WILL HAVE EQUAL OR MORE CONTENT THAN THE ORIGINAL GAME SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Ruin
it came out at the end of april this is from may

Sigh... people speculating with no official word. Just wait for Anet to make a specific release date. Closed.
