It really depends on what build you're talking about. Usually I'd have to say no because there aren't a lot of monk skills here. It's usually IoW, IW, and Flurry with other crap.
IW works with cyclone axe. If you are looking for aoe damage, there it is. Plus u can have a 20% ench mod on the axe, that would come in handy. SV as well... I would say that is doable to create a mesmer solo build.
