Farming??<----- Real Newbie Question

I recently purchased the game and I have been reading the forums, the last few days. My question is a simple one? What is farming?? Where does one go to farm? Where is it done, PVP or PVE??? Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks in advance

Just play the game. Farming means killing the same monsters in the same area over and over and over again. By definition you are not allowed to enjoy farming. Unfortunately by playing the game through normally, statistics in my head prove that you will not get a perfect gold weapon with perfect bonuses.

You farm for Gold Items and erm, gold in PvE. In PvP you farm for faction, but it's not really farming. Faction unlocks PvP skills and items for your PvP characters.

Don't become a farmer please. Read a book instead. Or write one even.

farming is when u kill many monsters in the shortest time possible... trying to get either exp, gold or weapons

it's done everywhere in PvE
