How often do ectos per run in uw?(and what affects it?)

Lets say,a 8 man farm in underworld,what will be the total ecto? and a 2 man farm,55 monk+ss necro,will the total ecto decrease?

Normally how many ecto will u guys get total per run when u dual uw farm?3 per run?or whatever?

well its qutie random actually. when i do uw i usually do 4 or 8 man trap teams. by just doing a spider run, its like 2 to 3, and spider run with smites is like 6 or something

i do 3 man trap and usually its 1 per person, even with smites.

doing 2 man smite runs with 1 monk and 1 necro... 2-3 ecto's will usually drop

2-3 with 4-5 man trapper team

I was in the UW for a good 4-5 hours the other night with an eight man group (assembled on here) and only one ecto dropped. Of all the chests we found only one was a gold chest and I got the only semi decent item- a rare eternal bow. It was pretty disappointing. =\

Today I did four 3-man trapper runs and 0 ecto's dropped. All 4 runs, none of us got one.

As much as people want to nail a statistic to this, it's purely random.

One time, when I went down, 4 dropped, none for me, but then on next run at UW, I got two, and others got 0. It's purely random.

Well I went trapping for the first time with my new guild and there was 4 trappers and a warrior came along to watch, i think we got 2 right at the begining from the aataxes where you spawn, one from a smite and then 1 just as we were folding from one of those spectre things on the field. that was in about 3 1/2 hours

Me and a friend split them when we dou UW; most of the time we can get 1 each; there have been a few runs of 0 ecto droped but its random really.

I would think a healthy "farm elsewhere while you dont have favor" is a good idea.

well i go solo with one smite monk i got 5 in a run once ... but normally its 3-4 ...

In over 100 UW trips in 6 month's (1 lasting 8 hours) I've had 6 ecto drop for me in total - the last 2 month's ago

Let's see, I see ecto's drop quite often, not for me though ><

We're always 4 or 3 man trapping, and an ecto always drops (almost every run).

last week I've seen 8 ecto drops, and 1 for me :P

(I got 1 from a friend of mine for free, because she felt sorry for me (ecto's kept dropping for her and other teammate but not for me :S)

In my life I've had 3 ecto's selling the first one to the merchant (I still have the other 2)

i solo uw and avg 2 ecto a run sometimes i get zero sometimes 5 but on avg 2 a run. based on my last 100 runs hehehe

To the OP: Seeing as nothing "effects" drop rates in general, as you can't use henchies and each player has their own chance in a group for a drop. As pertaining to your title of the post: Random. That's it. Reiterating myself on that point more then twice is so..gaudy, but eh! 8 man or a Solo build for UW, it's...random

hm on average it's 1 ecto per run IF u do 2 man run and u SHARE drops.
sometime 0 ectos drop. most i saw drop in a run was 5.

if i farm ectos i only do 2 man runs. me and my partner always share. in 3 months i gathered ~110 ectos, doing 2 hour UW daily. so since drops were shared, around 220 ectos droped in 3 months.. i'm prety sure i can do uw with my eyes closed now and i'm NOT proud of that =/

I have doen about 20 trap 3 man runs, i have yet to see an ecto drop ever.

out of the couple of smite and solo runs ive done ive gotten 0 being in a group ive only ever gotten 2 so it must be random as heck. cause usually on 1 ecto drops when i go

It really depends on luck. One time with a guild trap team of 6, we killed eveything that can drop an ecto and only one ecto dropped the whole damn run. The next run, we cleared em all like last time and one person got one, and one other person got 2. That was it.

Ive heard that only aataxe drop ecto.
