There needs to be some type of mark forum read button. After I leave a forum and come back it still shows many of the threads I've already read as unread even if no new posts have been created.

There is. On the forum front page under Ventari's Sell ti says:

I have got to be the blindest poster on the planet.

I don't think I'm that tired yet, so I'll trust my eyes:

"While that same attack on an Elementalist in Master's Armor (50 AL + 24 AL vs. Physical) would deal:"

Follow-up on Aladdar's comment, I was just looking for something to mark one subforum read. Perhaps I'm blind too, but I didn't find anything to mark a specific forum read... it's all or nothing. Possible to toss in a mark [subforum] as read link within forums?

The pop-up menu DIVs which appear when you click some "links", such as a user's name, don't seem to appear in the right spot. They seem to appear 200px or so lower (I'm at 1600x1200 BTW) than where they should be.
On these same menus, the mouseover color for the text is really hard to read because it's practically the same color as it's background, which should be fixed.
Both these problems seemed to occur in both latest IE and Firefox.
edit: for the main page now, if you are on the archives page, the big image that's always centered at the top overlaps the navagation links at the top left corner of the page. Might be the case with some other pages too.

Lamaros, Ensign's fixed the error. It was a typo as the numbers in the example were the correct 50AL rather than 74AL. Nice eyes.

That's a known problem but we've been unable to fix it just yet (And by "we" I mean people besides me because I'd have no idea how to do it). The mouseover color is a good point, though, we'll have to see about changing that to match the darker mouseover for most over links.

That was a problem before launch (To see it, turn up your text size *really* high and look at what happens to the links on the left, that's the way it was for all the links up there previously). I'm not sure why the correction missed the Archive page but it seems to be the only one I've found but it'll be fixed.

Not sure if it really is an error but do not all professions start out with 20 energy base and then for the casters, the armour adds energy to that base of 20? Since the armours of the casters add 10 energy, i do not see where the extra 3 is coming from. If that is so, should not the initial energy of the casters be 30 instead of 33? Also the max energy as listed there i assume is using a focus in the off-hand? So the max possible focus is a +9? I have heard people mention +12 foci found? The guide makes more sense if i assume that the 33 is a typo and is meant to be 30, i can't understand how 33 comes about, anyone?
The guide in question:

The +3 is from a starting focus. Those give you +3 and are readily available once you start adventuring and what else is a caster going to carry, a shield (Actually that's not a bad idea, carry a shield to swap with in case you get swarmed by mobs, at lower levels those extra points of AL can go a long way, especially when you only have 5 to start with...)? That means a caster would have a total +13 to their energy from all their items, hence 33 energy. And, as attributes rise characters can meet the requirements on the better foci which, as of last BWE top out at +12, giving any caster a total +22 bonus to their energy for a base of 42 en.

Oh i see, thanks for clearing that up. Got confused since i saw the warrior and ranger at their base energy and didn't think that the 3 extra energy for the casters might have been from a focus.
12 Feb 2005 at 18:09 - 28
And the 4 E extra from ascetics and scars?
12 Feb 2005 at 18:21 - 29
You'll note at the bottom it says "Based on most beneficial weapon" it should probably read "most beneficial equipment". While a Nec or Monk could indeed get an extra +5 energy from their armor, for a base of 47, the armor it takes to do so is far from the most beneficial.
In other words, scars and tattoos suck so THX didn't bother with them.

Not a bug but a question. Does this forum support word filters in a good way?
You could filter the skills mentioned in posts to the right page automaticly with very little work?

just a couple bugs I noticed this weekend.
1. the ai got stupid sometimes, and some creatures wouldn't fight unless you walked right next to them, others wouldn't fight at all.
2. I noticed that some of prince rurik's lines didn't tell you it was prince rurik talking in the cinematics.
3. my mesmer bought new pants and they looked purple until he changed districts and bought a dye to change them and then realized they were really black.
4. the bonus quest in... I think the third mission... doesn't register when you do it. and yes, I really did it. I talked to the chick, I sat there and waited for the flame wielders to pass and go to the flame temple door thing, killed them all, and then went up and killed all the dudes that were at the temple and never got any recognition or, more importantly, exp that said I had done the bonus quest.
5. my name disappeared in guild chat for a while near the end of the beta.
6. there's still numbers in parentheses next to peoples' names sometimes when they party up.
and I think that's it.

Maybe it's just my computer, but if you click on the little negative box where all of the posting rules are at and minimize it, a "+" sign should show up, but my browser just displayed the "X" when a picture didn't load/wasn't available.
It seems that the URL for that image keeps changing with each thread, otherwise I'd copy it for you...

Thanks for the bug report, I will look into it

I have had one problem on a few pages where the last post of the page has been overtaken by a bar at the bottom of the page. Not sure why it happens other than the postings to that page may be to many lines.
26 Feb 2005 at 23:28 - 37
I've noticed the foot overlap the bottom of an article before, I am note quite sure what can be done about it though. The good news is the problem can be corrected by refreshing the page.

One of your more older guides needs an update:
Attribute Point Distribution
In the 3rd paragraph it mentions that point gain is set at 10 skill points per lvl, but I am 90% certain that currently this is now 5 skill points per lvl, with a 100 skill points bonus upon reaching ascension.

I don't know if it's just me but everytime I want to play anything on the arcade it's telling me I need to register, did I set something up wrong or forget to set something up?

The "Posting Rules" Collapsed icon is missing (forum/wowbuttons/buttons/collapse_thead_collapsed.gif)
Im not sure if someone else has mentioned this or not yet however. If its been brought up before, I apologise for the double post.
