Depends on how much attention you pay to the background music. It ups the quality, changes the rotation a bit and I think adds 2 or 3 new tracks.

I turn the background music off and play my own. So it's really not in my opinion.

The other music paks are better, though the Battle Pak has a few that really stand out.

You barely notice the difference. I installed "gw101e", coming with the Special Edition, it contains at least 20 tracks and I only hear 2-3 different in-game.

Beatwolf : if you chose a "Permanent" install, then you 'll have to desinstall it. I use only the "temporary" ones, which last for 8 hour.

There's a free one and one you have to pay for. Get the free one, if you don't like it, oh well. Personally I don't think it's worth your money.

Actually, there's a registry hack that'll disable it. I've got it disabled right now. Let me see if I can find the thread it's in.

Edit: here it is.

I've purchased both the pay ones, downloaded the one free one. I like the music, but missed the original score after a while, which is why I disabled it. It's worth it if you like listening to the music outside of the game.
