Salvage it, but with my luck I always get the bottom Mod, probaly diffrent for others but this happens 100% of the time usualy, well hmm ive only tried swords so w/e. Salvage and sell the mod.

Yeah thats the 3rd and worst possibilty, but I think the 6 woodplanks are worth more then the bow its self. We have all had a bad salvage experiance and nothing tops mine unless you tried to salvage Superior Absorb and didnt get it .

6 wood = 60g - expert salvage kit usage 16g = 44g

I would rather have the wood, always can get parchment but still would be less then 100gp, and the 50gp diffrence can be found in 1min.

If you need wood, you can just go to Ascalon/DF1 and say, "WTB Wood 10g each" and you'll get a few pm's within seconds.

40g here and there can add up.

Lol im just playing with you, maybe not as low as 40 but I used to have alot of gold and now I have resonably less because of spending it on stupid stuff.
