Buying another copy of GW

Hi, recently I was stuck with 4 ascended characters all fully ascended and every mission and all Defend quests complete, in the order I made them;

20 E/Mo
20 W/Mo
20 R/E
20 Mo/N

I deleted my Ranger about a week ago as I never used it, as I needed a PvP Slot too, regret it now though, as all I do is PvP and I actually did enjoy playing my Ranger...

Now I still want a PvP Slot, so I'm wondering; if I bought another copy of GW, how would getting Chapter 2 when it comes out effect it? Would I get the extra 2 character slots (so they say it's 2 char slots extra when it comes out) for both accounts? Would I only have to buy 1 copy of Chapter 2 for all the new additions to work on both accounts?

each account is separate and needs its own chapter 2.

get a chapter 2 for the account you use the most and decide if you need another chapter 2 later

remember there will be common areas

Can you explain how it works to need both versions? Is it some Chapter 2 CD Key you add to your account or something so it's only used once?

ive read rumors that anet plans on fixing the character slot thing, so that were not getting bilked/scammed by buying copies of a game we already have : (

any unsubstantiated reports to confirm this rumor? : )

damn a chapter 2 for EACH accnt u own would be bad . is this just a rumor or it's confirmed?

If you purchased 2 copies/keys for Ch 1, what on earth makes you think you'll only need 1 Ch 2 key?

In essence you are buying the second CD Key, not another copy of the game. So why not think that Chapter 2 could possiblely be one for both, as long as it doesn't require it's own CD key. Buy Chapter 2 install on HDD where original is, with an expanded DAT file, and any account you use has access to the new areas/bonus's of Chapter 2.

Because then I can spread that CD key on the internet and now A.net has a gazillion people logging in with the same chapter 2 CD key.

lets put it this way; arena net provides the hosting services for zero monthly cost.
how do they pay for this?
making people buy multiple accounts if they want more slots.
its a fair trade.

I wish we could just pay A.net a flat fee to increase character space by one permanently.

lol i doubt it, that way its easy to download an illegal copy. They'd sell one copy of Chapter2 and have millions of players with access to it! Plus if you wanted to play at a friends house, you'd have to hope they had Chapter 2 installed.

At least if its the key, then 1. only legal purchases of the game can access it and 2. you can get the content anywhere you play.

it will be the same as adding a different preorder key for an item to an existing account except this key gives you chapter 2.

the accounts are separate and if you try to use that chapter 2 key again on a different account it will tell you that key is used

by that time you'd have a combined package, most likely at the same price as chapter 1 rite now lol

We don't know how many character slots chapter 2 will include. Also most people (i think most) will move on to Chapter 2, so whats the point of getting another copy of chapter 1 when you have done the missions and quests 4 or 5 times already?

But it's your choice if you want to get increase character slots.

Your account is based on your e-mail address so use the one that you use most with that e-mail address.You will have to buy an addition copy of GW chapter 2 for your other account with different e-mail address.It is no different for you than it is right now just 2 e-mail addresses.
