My take:
1 - Customizable prebuilds are useless (please explain if I'm wrong), You could pick a prebuild and change it, you don't have to go with what they suggest. You can change the skills and stat points around.
2 - Don't really care for this one.
3 - A my builds menu would be awesome
4 - I like a lot. I love to test many different builds and now that the battle isles are added, it makes it even more troublesome to constantly travel from the pvp arenas - to lions arch - to seeker's passage - back to the great temple of balthazzar - back to pvp arena of choice.
5 - Everything would be customized. Runes might present a problem, they could either be customized, or can only be used directly from the vault it self via double clicking. Pvp Chars only. Just add an extra option to the Pvp Xunlai agents as to which stash you want to acces. If Anet doesn't want to specifically add a vault, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to add another menu that of course, will only work with pvp characters.
6 - Kinda goes hand in hand with #5. I like the idea of a vault. Just "replace" the runes.

Please people, if you would like to see customizeable prebuilds, or have an idea that has not been presented here about customizing the prebuilds, post. If you are the nth person to have the "great" idea of saving builds on PvE characters, go find that thread and celebrate how super and idea that is.

So, all those prebuilt characters at the, suddenly super laggy character creation screen, never get used. Seems like a waste to me.

It is incomplete, not well presented, and unorigional. If you want to look into othe ways to save builds, I suggest you use a search button, and if you like an idea, reply to it.

And, this "my builds" and other points do not have to be just with PvE!, because, if you are able to change everything from secondary profession to runes in your already made PvP character you are not going to need to rebuild it!
I think, that the idea of having customizable prebuilds would still be interesting if you are changing often between more than 4 professions, ... why? because, character's slots number is limited to 4 (will be 6 in Factions) ; but, if you play with 4 professions or less, not having to rebuild characters -just to change a secondary, or a rune, or a weapon, ... is a much better solution!
Poda is commenting on the points I stated in my answer in this thread, I stated those points to clarify the thread's subjects.
So please, be aware of this.

Nevertheless, there is the view that: if there are 4 slots, and one's greater needs are for PvP characters, then 1 slot may be for a PvE character and 3 for PvP characters, it depends in which kind of game is more often played!
If one feels that 4 slots (or 6 in Factions) is not enough, and there is a need for a greater number of character slots, this might be a different subject, the subject of a thread about number of character slots.
I started a thread which was deemed too similar to this topic, so it was closed.
My idea was this: Skill Bar Presets tied to Weapon Slots.
The simplest example of this would be a warrior having an axe in slot one; sword in two; hammer in three.
Select weapon slot one and your skillbar changes to your already defined axe-centric skillbar.
I feel the possibilities for this are limitless.
Just a minor flash of inspiration? Or was it bad pizza?

What you are suggesting is 8 skills for each weapon slot, so 4 weapon slots means 48 skill slots.
I just don't see how that could ever work.

I meant to say that you could only change weapons/skillsets whilst IN A TOWN!
Wow, imagine GvG with 48 skills [shudder]

To add to the idea, I think you should be able to create a Pre-Build scroll, that stores the data of what skills you have and what attributes.
Then, you can give the scroll to another player and they can click it and their skills and attributes are all set to that build (but only if they are the right profession have the skills)
This way, a guild leader could create a bunch of a builds for the members to use, and hand out scrolls for them... It would be easier to coordinate your skills if one person could pick out everyone's skills at the start, right?
It would certainly be easier than everyone asking "Should I bring this skill? Or this skill? etc..." and it allows the players to bring skills that work well with skills that OTHER players bring, instead of relying on one's self individually

well since the additional skill bar was closed and this was the redirect, I would like to voice my opinion on the skill bar issue.
As with the ability to switch Weapons via the weapon panel, why not tie the skill bar to the weapon switching?
That way you can maximize the setup, ie packing a Hammer have Warrior Skills that promote the use of that weapon. Or elementist packing staffs for fire then they can have a fire skills available with that setup then when they switch to a Water based weapon the skill switch to water based skill to help maximize that roll of the character.
I think with skill sets that change with weapon sets the character can maximize it roll to it's fullest. and if someone yells about the attribs then set them the same way or the the character must be balance if the player wants to have different setups.
